ANZAC Day

On the 25th of April, a number of students from Healesville High School proudly took part in the Dawn Service at Healesville RSL. It was lovely to see so many members of the Healesville community make the effort to attend the service and recognise the contributions and sacrifices of our ANZACs.

Our school band performed a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem and our School Captains read poems to mark the occasion. We are very proud of each of their contributions to the service.

At school we marked the occasion with a whole school ANZAC service run by our Principal Mr Allan Rennick and School Captains, Celeste and Ethan. Home Groups produced paper poppies and invited students to write a thank you message and sign their name on the back of them. These were then added to a display in the Admin building to acknowledge the service of Australians and New Zealanders who have been involved in war.  Additionally, our Food classes made delicious ANZAC biscuits.
