Outdoor Education

Some little adventures....

The Year 11&12 Outdoor Education class have been out on a few day trip recently.

They enjoyed a bike ride along the beautiful O’Shannassy Trail with Damian Auton. As part of the Outdoor Education study, we are learning about the conflict surrounding the Warburton Mountain Bike Destination. Damian has worked with Parks Victoria to establish this for over 10 years. He also runs UpCycles at ECOSS which works to save bikes from ending up in landfill.

Additionally, the team completed a creek walk exploring Mick Creek in Toolangi. Here we looked at water quality and factors which impact on it. Creek walking is a great low cost activity that can be done in many locations local to Healesville.
