Principal's Report

Term 3 is always a massive one, and making it to the finish line is a great feeling for students and staff, and no doubt for all of you at home as well. Looking back at everything we have packed into the last ten weeks, I am really proud of the hard work our students and staff have put in.

The school holidays are a much needed chance to step away from the usual rush of the school term. I encourage all our students and families to enjoy the slower pace over the next fortnight and completely switch off.

Thank you for your ongoing support throughout the term. Have a fantastic break, and we will see you back here ready for Term 4.

Maths Footy Day

Yesterday’s Maths Footy Day was a great success. The school looked fantastic with everyone in their sports colours, and students had a lot of fun working through the different footy and maths activities. Of course, no footy day is complete without an old-fashioned meat pie for lunch. Days like this take a lot of planning behind the scenes, so a big thank you to Sarah Rohit for organising the activities and to Molly Lawlor for sorting out all the pie orders. A Special mention to Ms. Yze, who arranged for her dad, Richmond Tigers Coach Adem Yze, to join us and coach our longest kick participants.

Father’s Day Breakfast

Our Father's Day breakfast saw a fantastic turnout of students, dads, granddads and special friends, all there to share a pancake and a laugh. It was great to see this opportunity for our community to connect once again so well received. A big thank you to our Social & Fundraising Committee for organising the morning and making sure everything ran so smoothly.

Parent Opinion Survey - Last Chance

Thank you to those families who have already completed the Parent Opinion Survey. This is open to all families, with the Department of Education asking that there is only one response per family. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and would love as many families as possible to complete the survey as this will help shape our planning for next year and beyond. The survey closes on Friday 18th September and all information you need can be found in your Compass news feed.

SunSmart

A reminder that as per our SunSmart policy from the start of Term 4 through to the end of Term One - ALL BPS students and staff are expected to wear hats during recess and lunch and for all outdoor activities, especially Physical Education.

Early Finish

Just a reminder that our last day of term is Friday 18th September.  We finish up at 2.30pm and Theircare will be offering a program for families requiring it.
