Year 8 Students Complete Final Assessments for the Term

Congratulations to all of our Year 8 students on successfully completing their final assessments for the term! This milestone marks the culmination of weeks of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. We are proud of the effort each student has put into their studies and the resilience they have shown throughout what is often a busy and challenging period.

Assessment time can bring its fair share of pressure, but our students have demonstrated excellent organisation, determination, and a commitment to doing their best. Whether tackling exams, projects, or presentations, Year 8 rose to the occasion and approached each task with a positive mindset.

As we close out this term, we encourage students to take a well-earned break, reflect on their achievements, and recharge for the exciting opportunities ahead. Learning is an ongoing journey, and the progress made this term will set a strong foundation for continued success.

Year 8 have continued their pastoral program focusing on activities on building resilience through empathy, mindfulness, gratitude and emotional literacy. This week’s lesson focused on Year 8 exploring the concept of empathy and what it means to be in someone else's shoes. Each student was given a take home task to discuss and work through with their families. I have included the activity below. It would be great to have this conversation about ‘walking in other people’s shoes’ continued at home so appreciation of others and experiencing different journeys are encouraged.

This will be our final newsletter entry for the term. Thank you to our students, families, and staff for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. We look forward to sharing more updates, achievements, and highlights when we return next term.

Well done again, Year 8! Enjoy the break, and we will see you next term ready for another fantastic chapter of learning!
