E-Sports Competition

This year’s E-Sports Competition attracted strong interest, with more than 80 students signing up for the Mario Kart knockout tournament. The competition was run as an Interhouse event, with students progressing through elimination rounds to represent their House in the finals.

All seven Houses were represented in the final stage by Lachlan Olney (Campbell), Dylan McCormick (Frassati), Shaun Nelson (Tangney), Oliver Poole (Yagan), Brandon Blurton (Salvado), Braxton Bridge (MacKillop), and Charlie Connolly (O’Connor). Students gathered to watch the action, creating an encouraging and competitive atmosphere.

The grand final featured four top competitors: Lachlan, Dylan, Shaun and Oliver. Each race was closely contested, with all finalists showing skill and focus under pressure. The overall winner was Lachlan Olney of Campbell House, who finished first and earned valuable Cartoni Cup points for his House. Congratulations, Lachlan!

The E-Sports Carnival was a great success, giving students an opportunity to participate in a relatively new format of competition while building house spirit and community involvement.
