Campbell House Christian Service Day

On Thursday, 4 September the Year 12 Campbell House students took part in an excursion to the Perth CBD to support the Legacy Foundation, an organisation that assists war veterans and their families who are experiencing hardship.
The students joined the annual Legacy Street Appeal, where they were stationed along Hay Street and Murray Street. Armed with collection tins and bright smiles, they appealed to members of the public to contribute to this worthy cause. Students helped sell Legacy Foundation merchandise, including commemorative pins, wristbands, and the ever-popular military teddy bears.
A highlight of the day was the appearance of the giant military bear mascot, which several of our students volunteered to wear. The mascot proved to be a hit with both children and adults stopping to donate, take photos, and share a laugh.
Thanks to the generosity of the Perth community and of our Campbell students, more than $1000 was raised for the Legacy Foundation. This initiative continues the proud Campbell House tradition of supporting Legacy, a cause connected to our namesake, Alec Campbell, the last surviving ANZAC. Our students represented the college with pride and enthusiasm in the streets of Perth, showing what Christian service is all about.
