From the Principal

This week marks a meaningful milestone for our Year 12 students as they formally conclude their secondary schooling. With final lessons now complete, they step into a new phase focused on exam preparation and thoughtful reflection. Although they will return in Term Four for the Graduation Ceremony, we will miss seeing them as part of daily life on campus as they take this next step in their journey.
To mark the occasion of their last day, Year 12 students enjoyed a shared breakfast prepared by staff, offering a moment of reflection and camaraderie. This was followed by year-level and House assemblies, where students from other year groups had the opportunity to farewell the cohort and acknowledge their contributions to the College. A sausage sizzle lunch provided a relaxed lead-in to the afternoon’s Colour Run—an energetic and light-hearted event that filled the campus with laughter and vibrant colour.
We wish them well as they prepare for their final assessments and exams, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements at the Graduation Ceremony in Week Two.
Lumen Christi College is proud of its diverse and multicultural community, where families from a wide range of backgrounds are welcomed and valued. This commitment is embodied in our Light of Welcome and was beautifully demonstrated by our music students at the recent City of Gosnells Australian Citizenship Ceremony. Their musical accompaniment at this civic event was a meaningful representation of the College’s engagement with the wider community. We thank them for their dedication, professionalism and service.
As part of the College’s ongoing commitment to improving facilities and learning environments, refurbishment works are currently underway on K Block. Following initial demolition and electrical works, progress on the refurbishment is now becoming visible. Staff and students are beginning to see the physical transformation that will support more dynamic and engaging learning spaces in the future.
Following a planning, design, and implementation process that began in 2021, the College introduced a new student uniform in 2024, accompanied by a two-year changeover period to support families in transitioning from the previous uniform. That transition period concludes in January 2026. From the beginning of Term One next year, all students will be expected to attend in the new uniform. To support families during this final stage of transition, uniform order forms are available via the links below.
We wish all students, staff, and families a safe, restful, and well-deserved school holiday break.
