Wellbeing

Throughout Term 3, the Wellbeing Team has continued its work in promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment. As part of our ongoing efforts to address bullying, the junior year students attended Brainstorm Productions' Verbal Combat performance, which explored strategies for managing conflict, building resilience, and responding to bullying behaviours. Students also participated in the Making Bullying History presentation, delivered by Life Choices Foundation in partnership with Safeheart.

Taking a whole-school approach, all students were invited to complete a survey during Mentor Group to provide valuable student voice and feedback on the development of a new anti-bullying campaign. The survey findings then informed a student forum, where students discussed the feedback and began planning future actions to strengthen bullying prevention and promote a positive school culture.

Senior students also participated in workshops focusing on Looking Out for Peers, Consent and the Law, and Respectful Relationships, helping them build knowledge, confidence, and skills for healthy relationships and positive peer support. Our student leaders organised a successful student-led bake sale to raise funds for Rainbow Door, Victoria's specialist LGBTIQA+ support service. The event was well supported by the school community and reflected our students' commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting the wellbeing of others.

The Wellbeing Team also coordinated and supported several important school recognition days, including Wear It Purple Day and R U OK? Day. Students were encouraged to connect with one another through a range of activities and engagement opportunities with local youth services, highlighting the importance of inclusion, mental health, and community connection.
