Humanities

Melbourne Holocaust Museum

On Wednesday the 29th July, our Year 10 Core Humanities students participated in an excursion to the Melbourne Holocaust Museum. The visit provided a powerful learning experience and emphasised the importance of standing up against prejudice, discrimination, and injustice.

As one of the last generations with the opportunity to hear directly from Holocaust survivors, a highlight of the day for many was hearing from survivor John Lamovie, who shared his personal story. Several of our students were fortunate enough to ask John questions following his presentation, providing a unique opportunity to connect with history through the experiences of someone who lived through its consequences.

We commend our students on their exemplary behaviour, maturity, and respect throughout the excursion!
