Term 3 Update 

It's been a busy and rewarding term in the Careers Team, and we're excited to share a few highlights.

2027 Course Selection

Thank you to all our students and families for engaging so positively with 2027 Course Selection, completed early this term following the range of programs that ran through late Term 2. Your preparation and involvement made for a smooth process, and we appreciate everyone's engagement in supporting students choose pathways that suit their goals and interests.

JOBCAMP – Hospitality

Earlier this term, students took part in JOBCAMP – Hospitality, a fantastic opportunity for students to build real, industry-recognised skills and certificates for use in the hospitality sector. Participants gained their Responsible Service of Alcohol, Food Safety Handling certification, and Barista Coffee Making skills - qualifications that will serve them well in casual and part-time work now, and in future hospitality roles.

A huge thank you to our amazing students for their enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the program, and to Short Courses Australia for delivering such a fantastic experience. BHS Staff also got to enjoy the results firsthand, with students preparing and delivering coffees for the on the day - a much-appreciated treat that showcased just how far their new skills had come!

Year 12 VTAC and Post-School Planning

It has also been a great term supporting our Year 12 students with their VTAC applications and post-school planning. Thank you to all our Year 12 students who have booked in appointments, and a special thank you to the families who have come into school to be part of this exciting planning process alongside their young person.

We wish our Year 12 cohort all the very best for their final weeks of class and their exams next term.
