Happy Father's Day

This week we celebrated at school with Beaut Bloke's Breakfast, Liturgy, classroom visits and our Father's Day Stall.  We've included a few snaps from the celebrations below and you can find more on our social media pages.

We would like to wish all the dads, grandfathers and special men in our St Augustine's Community a very happy Father's Day.  We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating with your loved ones.

Learning Support Officer Appreciation Week

This week we recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution our Learning Support Officers make to our school community.  Their work extends far beyond providing support in the classroom.  They build relationships, encourage confidence, celebrate achievements and help create learning environments where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

To our LSOs, we thank you for your professionalism, compassion and unwavering commitment to our students and staff.  Your contribution is valued every day.

School Hats

As per the College SunSmart Policy, from  Week 7 of Term 3, school hats are required to be worn when outside at lunchtime and recess and for outdoor class activities.

Please check your children have their St Augustine's College hat at school with them.  

New hats can be purchased from the College Office for $15 - eftpos or cash (correct amount is appreciated where possible).

National Science Week

What a week we had celebrating 2026 National Science Week recently.  

Students were able to participate in some wonderful activities organised by our science team. It was fantastic to see the labs packed every lunchtime with students from Foundation to Year 12.

A big thank you to Ms Mawley who prepared the questions for our daily TA quiz which many of our primary students had a go at, demonstrating their spirit of curiosity. DJ Challis selected a variety of science related songs for our bell music for the week. 

Thank you to the team behind the fabulous lunchtime activities: Mrs Mallon, Mrs Talbot, Mrs Darling, Mrs Lowe, Mr Lowe, Mr Lane and Ms Mawley. Thanks also to James G for preparing the Lab window display and preparing equipment for the lab activities.

We look forward to an even bigger and better Science Week in 2027.
