St Augustine's Got Talent is almost here!
It's almost time - our St Augustine's Got Talent event is happening next Wednesday, 9th September, at 6.00pm in the Brigidine Centre. This is a free event.
Our contestants are excited to showcase their talents to our community and we can't wait to see what they have in store.

Sausages for headspace next Tuesday, 8th September
Our Year 12 VCE VM students have been busy preparing for their sausage sizzle fundraiser for headspace next Tuesday.
Students will be selling sausages in bread for $2 each at lunch time (cash only).
As part of their research into issues affecting young people in our community, the students identified mental health as a growing concern that they would like to support and raise awareness of. They chose to support headspace because of the organisation’s previous involvement with our College and the important work they do in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people. They are hoping their efforts will help make a difference for other young people when they need it most.
Years 5-8 Community Mass Invitation
Families are invited to join with our Years 5-8 Community to celebrate Mass at 9.10am in the Church on Thursday 17th September.
End of Term Assemblies
We warmly invite members of our College community to celebrate our learning for Term 3 with our F-4 and 5-8 Communities on Friday 18th September.

Tarkarri - College Magazine designs due next week
Calling all St Augustine's Students!
We are looking for amazing designs that could be featured on the cover of our St Augustine's College Magazine, Tarkarri, for 2026.
The criteria (at least one of the following) should:
Include reference to one or more of our House Patrons (St Augustine, St Brigid or Daniel Delany)
Feature an image or reference to our Catholic Tradition and/or stories
Include something special about our St Augustine's College; our learning experiences, pine tree, building features and more!
This competition is open to all St Augustine's students, from Foundation to Year 12.

Get your Purple Ready
We will be celebrating Purple Day in support of The Gift Kyabram on the last day of this term, Friday 18th September.
The day is being organised by Olivia M and her Year 11 friends, along with Purple Pete.
Students and staff are encouraged to come to school dressed in purple.
Don't forget your Gold Coin donation for The Gift Kyabram - supporting people in our local community affected by cancer.
The Gift is a Kyabram-based volunteer charity that supports individuals and families in the local community affected by cancer. The Gift was established due to the need in the local community to provide help and support to these individuals and families that larger organisations were unable to deliver.
Cancer disrupts not just an individual’s health, but every aspect of life for themselves and their family. The individual may be unable to work due to treatment and the effects it has on their health. It is also a very difficult journey emotionally, for those suffering. The Gift provides support in many ways: through assistance in paying bills, vouchers for food or travel expenses, gift packs at special times like Christmas and counselling and moral support.
Since the start of The Gift, over $1 million has been raised, supporting over 500 people through their cancer journey.
In line with St Augustine's College values of Community and Partnership, The Gift Purple Day is an annual event that we continue to support with heartfelt kindness and generous community spirit.
Last Day of Term 3
Term 3 will finish on Friday 18th September. School will finish at 2.20pm on this day.
Term 4 Commencement
The first day of Term 4 for all students will be Monday 5th October.
Communicating with Staff
We have had the privilege of meeting with parents and connecting with families on various occasions across the term. At St Augustine’s College, we deeply value these opportunities to strengthen our partnerships and work together in support of our students. We recognise that parents are the first educators of their children and play a vital role in shaping their behaviours, both positive and challenging. Open and honest communication is key to fostering a supportive school environment and we are grateful for a parent community that shares our commitment to nurturing each child’s growth and development.
We ask that parents engage in conversations with our staff with respect, trust in our processes and support the follow-up actions necessary for their child’s development and wellbeing. Similar expectations exist in many other organisations and by working together with mutual respect and understanding, we can continue to provide a safe, positive and thriving learning environment for all.
Our staff are on site and available during the following times:
Monday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
Tuesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Thursday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
Friday: 8:15am - 3:45pm
However, whilst these are the working times, our staff are busy organising and planning lessons, teaching classes and/or engaged in relevant staff meetings. We ask that if you wish to make contact with your child’s teacher, please contact your child’s TA for a meeting.
Communication via email is also appropriate during work hours, however please allow staff up to 48 hours to respond. We thank you for your consideration in this matter.
