Farewell Year 12 Class of 2025

The past three weeks have been a memorable time in the lives of our Year 12 students, as they connected with our College community for a series of final events marking the conclusion of their time as students at Oxley Christian College.

During the first week of Term 4, the Senior School Leaders for 2026 were announced at the Senior School Assembly. It was fitting that our 2025 College Captains, Chloe Daly and Ruby Warburton made this special announcement. These new leaders will now become the more visible leaders around our school as our Year 12 students prepare for their upcoming exams. We congratulate the incoming leaders and pray our student leaders will continue to lead by example and act as ambassadors for our school. In keeping with tradition at Oxley, we will announce the new College Captains and Vice Captains at Presentation Evening.

The Year 12 Final Chapel was another special event for the Class of 2025. This event is a distinct reminder for our students about the significance of connecting together to worship God and that He is with us through every season in our lives. In Joshua 1:9, we are also reminded that God will be with us wherever we go.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

The Year 12 Valedictory Dinner was another milestone event during Week 2, which provided a lovely opportunity to gather with the Year 12 students, their parents, staff and other special guests.

This week, the Year 12 students attended their Final Assembly, which marked their final day of classes at Oxley Christian College. Each member of the Class of 2025 was recognised. On Tuesday 21 October, the students celebrated Year 12 Final Day, which included a concert, carnival rides and the House Competition.

During the weeks ahead, our Year 12 students will be completing their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) exams. Please join me in praying for our students during this time. Our students will also be preparing for a broad range of post-school pathways.

Thank you to the staff who have contributed to the learning journey of our Year 12 students throughout their time at Oxley Christian College. Many of the students in this class have studied at the College since Kindergarten or Prep. Thank you also to the VCE teachers who are working closely with our Year 12 students as they make final preparations for their exams.

As a College community, we look forward to connecting for the Senior School Presentation Evening on Tuesday 2 December 2025, which provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students throughout the school year.

Congratulations once again to the Year 12 Class of 2025.

Working together,
