Year 7/8

After an outstanding start to their journey at Parkdale Secondary College, the 2024 Year 7 cohort has now transitioned into their Year 8 classes and new subjects as part of the Step-Up program. Students have embraced the opportunities presented during Step-Up, including a fun and engaging practical lesson on forces. As part of the lesson, they designed methods to protect an egg from breaking when dropped from the second storey of the Junior Learning Centre. Strategies included cushioning and various parachute designs, with mixed success in keeping the eggs intact.

Year 8/9

The 2024 Year 8 cohort has moved from the Junior Learning Centre to the Year 9 Area, marking a significant step in their education. During the Step-Up program, they experienced electives for the first time and participated in the Connect program. About half the cohort ventured to the city, while others began learning how to make hot chocolates and coffees. The 2024 Year 8s have made an excellent start to their Year 9 studies.

Year 9/10

Through the Step-Up program, the 2024 Year 9 cohort has now transitioned from the Junior to the Senior School. We wish them every success as they continue their educational journey at Parkdale Secondary College.
