Youth Myki card announcement

You may have heard the announcement as part of the 2025-26 Victorian State Budget, that from 1st January 2026, public transport will be free for every Victorian under the age of 18.

This change means families could save up to $755 a year, per child – whether students are travelling to school, TAFE, an apprenticeship, or even just heading to the footy.

This improves access for students to education by reducing the cost in their day-to-day travel to school or for our VCE VM students who travel to TAFE each Wednesday.
