OSHC Leadership Program

Our OSHC leaders' program is underway!

Students in Years 4–6 have begun applying for leadership positions within our program, giving them the chance to have their voices heard and contribute to decision making at OSHC.

Leadership roles include OSHC Captain, Prep Team Leader, Head Chef, Cooking Captain, and Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group Member.

These positions allow students to develop responsibility, share ideas, help run activities and support their peers making OSHC a more fun, inclusive and engaging place for everyone.

Students have until next Friday March 13 to submit their applications. More information can be found on the Program board.

Paper Mache Craft

In Craft Club students have been exploring paper mâché as part of their creative arts experiences, working collaboratively to design and build hot air balloons that will soon be displayed around our room.

Throughout the process students have been learning about patience and persistence as they layer paper and paste, allowing time for drying before adding colour and decorative details. We can’t wait to see our colourful hot air balloons brighten up the OSHC space!

Emergency Evacuation Fire Drills

Last Monday we conducted a fire evacuation drill as part of our safety procedures. The students did a fantastic job following instructions, lining up promptly and moving calmly to our designated assembly area.

These drills are a regulatory requirement and are practiced every 90 days to ensure everyone knows what to do in the event of a real emergency.

We encourage families to talk with their children about the importance of taking drills seriously as practising helps us all stay safe and prepared.

Smart Watches

As part of the strengthened National Quality Framework and Victorian child safe digital safety requirement’s we would like to remind parents the students are not permitted to wear or use personal electronic devices during OSHC sessions if those devices have the ability to capture, store or transmit photos, videos or other images. This includes smart watches, phones or similar devices.

Any such device must be kept in students’ bags or signed into the office for secure storage for the duration of the OSHC session.

Payments

A friendly reminder to all families: please ensure that payment for care services is made within one week of receiving your statement. Timely payments are essential to avoid any disruptions or cancellations to your child’s place in care. If you have any questions or concerns about your payment, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your cooperation!

Frequently Asked Question

I have more than one child attending OSHC. When making payments do I need to separate the payments between each child?

Answer: No, there is no need to make separate payments for each child. You can send through one payment, and it will be credited to your account across all children.
