House Swimming Carnival
Last Thursday, our Year 4–6 students headed to GESAC for the much-anticipated annual House Swimming Carnival. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter and plenty of house spirit — and it wasn’t just the students wearing big smiles!
Blessed with warm weather and enthusiastic competitors, the day began with our 50m events, followed by the 25m races. Students showed wonderful determination and teamwork as they swam for their houses, earning valuable points with every splash.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the House vs House noodle relay races, which
brought plenty of fun and friendly rivalry to the pool. Cheers echoed around the venue as students proudly supported one another, celebrating every effort and achievement.
With ribbons awarded, colours proudly displayed, and every student contributing to their house tally, it was a fantastic day of participation, sportsmanship and community spirit.

Interschool Sport Report
Students in years 5 and 6 have started playing in the Summer sport rotations each Friday morning. So far, we have played against Beaumaris, Black Rock and Brighton. Students are experiencing competition against other schools in the district and loving the camaraderie of playing in a team, meeting students from other schools and learning how to play new sports. The year 5/6 teachers are also learning to coach and teach students skills and drills in each of the sports.
All games have been competitive as we move into this week's coming rounds against Hampton and Sandy East in our second Double Header.
All game results will be posted by the House captains in the next newsletter.
