Visual Arts

It’s a vibrant and creative start to a busy term in the Art Room!
Prep
Our Prep students are celebrating their colour knowledge through joyful paper sculptures, transforming strips of primary and secondary coloured card into rollercoaster worlds of curling, looping and folded forms.
Year 3
In Year 3, students are exploring abstract art inspired by Jean Arp, thoughtfully cutting and layering card and coloured foam to create shapes on shapes with care and intention.
Year 5
Meanwhile, Year 5 artists are diving into the art of collage — experimenting with composition, discussing how artworks guide the viewer’s eye, and carefully cutting, arranging and composing drawings, magazine images and painted papers before committing to glue.
It’s shaping up to be a term full of colour, creativity and thoughtful making!
Well, Done Alex
It was wonderful to see one of our students proudly share his sketchbook, filled with detailed and imaginative drawings that highlight his impressive artistic skill. Alex’s talent, dedication to practising, and willingness to develop his ideas are a fantastic example of creativity, persistence, and a genuine enjoyment of art in action.
