Congratulations to 2B - the winners of the foil ball competition. Overall our school collected and recycled 2.48 kilograms of foil.
Aluminium foil is highly recyclable when it is rolled into a ball the size of a tennis ball, anything smaller might not be able to be recycled as foil is so light.

Hillsmeade is proud to be partnering with the City of Casey, Living Links and Melbourne Water to revamp our vegetable garden space.
Over time this area has become difficult to manage with weeds taking over and aging garden bed edging.
We are excited to be the Living Links Ambassador school of 2026 and with some funding we will be going to work on rejuvenating this space as a sensory garden for all students to enjoy. We are going to be planting wildlife attracting plants and flowering shrubs, native plants and bush tucker plants.
Stay tuned over the next few months to see this transformation take place.
We ask students and families to please avoid the vegetable garden area over the coming months while we get to work in there. We will notify the community when the space is open for all to enjoy.
