SWPBS at Bundoora Primary School
At Bundoora Primary School, we promote positive behaviour through strong relationships, clear expectations, and consistent support. We value respect, responsibility, and safety throughout our community. Together, staff and students foster a supportive and inclusive environment where every learner can thrive and succeed.
This vision underpins our School-wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) approach, which helps create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment through explicit teaching, shared expectations and positive acknowledgement. We are excited to share this work with our community, and our website will also be updated to reflect our new vision and our continued focus on positive behaviour and student success.
As part of this work, we introduced our behaviour matrix and our 3 B’s: BeeBee says Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe. The matrix helps students understand what these expectations look like across different school settings, and SWPBS supports schools to teach and reinforce these behaviours consistently.
We also celebrate students when they demonstrate these expectations through positive acknowledgements, which are shared with families, noted on Compass and recognised at school. Please note that if your child receives a positive acknowledgement, this does not necessarily mean they will receive an award at assembly; however, it is still a very important recognition that they are demonstrating the expected 3 B’s and this is celebrated with families and within the school community.
We look forward to updating our website to reflect this new vision and our shared expectations across the school.
We are also pleased to welcome Daniel Kret to our SWPBS Team. Daniel brings valuable experience and enthusiasm for supporting positive behaviour and student wellbeing. We look forward to the contributions he will make as we continue to strengthen our positive, safe and inclusive school culture for all students.
