Semester One Reports
Next week, your child’s Semester One Report will be available via Compass.
This report provides a summary of your child’s learning and progress throughout Semester One and outlines their achievement against the Victorian Curriculum.
We encourage families to take some time to read and discuss the report with their child. To get the most from the report, we recommend the following:
Step 1: Review your child’s achievement in each learning area. A solid dot indicates the level at which your child is currently working, while a hollow dot shows their achievement from the previous report (where applicable). For English and Mathematics, a shaded yellow band indicates the expected level of achievement for your child’s year level.
Step 2: Consider your child’s work habits. Are there areas where you can support them to further develop positive learning behaviours?
Step 3: Review your child’s attendance. Regular attendance is essential for academic success and helps children build important social skills, including teamwork, communication, resilience and positive relationships.
Step 4: Celebrate your child’s efforts and achievements this semester. Positive encouragement helps build confidence and motivation. It is also valuable to discuss areas for growth and consider ways to support continued improvement.
Reports will be available through Compass from 22 June 2026.
Please note: Reports will continue to provide important information regarding student achievement and progress; however, full descriptive comments may not be included due to industrial action undertaken by the Australian Education Union earlier this term.
We look forward to discussing your child's progress further at our Parent-Teacher Interviews on 29 July 2026. As always, if you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher through Compass to arrange a meeting.
Breakfast Club update
Over the past two terms, our Social Enterprise Team, Wellbeing Team and School Leadership have been working together to review and plan the future direction of our Breakfast Club program.
As part of this process, we have taken the opportunity to refocus Breakfast Club on its original purpose: ensuring that all students have access to a nutritious breakfast so they can begin the school day ready to learn.
From Term 3, the Wellbeing Team will take the lead in coordinating Breakfast Club. Students attending will continue to enjoy a healthy breakfast, with toast, fruit and cereal available each morning.
This change also creates an exciting opportunity for our Social Enterprise Club to explore a new direction. Working alongside our student leaders, the club will be developing a range of student-led initiatives from Term 3 onwards, allowing students to further build their leadership, creativity and entrepreneurial skills.
As part of the renewed focus on breakfast provision, cheese toasties, hot chocolate and coffee will no longer be available through the Breakfast Club program from Term 3.
We are always grateful for the support of our parent community and would love to welcome additional volunteers to assist Mrs Bonazza and our students in the mornings. If you are interested in helping, please contact the school office.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our Breakfast Club and the many ways you contribute to our school community.
Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Applications
Enrolments for Foundation 2027 are now open.
If you have a child born between 1 May 2021 and 30 April 2022, now is the time to enrol. Please contact the school office to book a school tour or collect an enrolment form.
For enrolment enquiries, please contact the office on 03 9467 2601.
Road Safety
The increased traffic along Bendoran Crescent and Balmoral Avenue during drop-off and pick-up times creates additional safety risks for all members of our community.
We ask all families to remain vigilant and to always use the designated school crossings. We have noticed several students crossing these roads unsupervised, which can be extremely dangerous.
By using the supervised crossings, even when accompanying your child, you help model safe road behaviours and reinforce positive road safety practices for all students.
Parent Payment Contributions
Thank you to the families who have paid all or part of their Parent Payment Contributions. Every contribution directly supports teaching and learning programs and helps provide valuable curriculum resources for our students.
Contributions can still be made through Compass or by visiting the school office.
End of Term Reminder
Please note that Thursday 25 June and Friday 26 June are Curriculum Days and are pupil-free days.
The last day of Term 2 is Wednesday 24 June. We will hold our End of Term Assembly at 2:30 pm, followed by student dismissal at 3:15 pm.
Wishing You a Safe and Happy Break
As we conclude Semester One, I would like to thank our students, families and staff for their ongoing support, hard work and commitment throughout the term. It has been wonderful to see the growth, achievements and learning that have taken place across our school community.
We wish all families a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting semester of learning in Term 3.
