We are proud to be part of the School Breakfast Clubs Program and would like to thank Foodbank for their generous weekly donations that help support our students each day.

We are now fully settled into the Life Skills Hub, where cereal, toast and fruit cups are available daily at no cost to all students. In addition, toasties will be available for purchase Tuesday to Thursday for a small fee.

Please note that hot chocolates will no longer be available at this stage.

A huge thank you to our wonderful students, parents and staff who generously volunteer their time to help run this valuable program. Their support helps ensure our students start the school day with a full stomach and are ready to learn and get the most out of their day.

RRRR Learning Across the School

As we come to the end of another busy and successful term, students across the school have been strengthening their social and emotional skills through our Rights, Resilience and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) program.

Prep – Problem Solving

Prep students have been introduced to the concept of problem solving, learning that problems are a normal part of everyday life and can be worked through in positive ways. Through stories, play-based learning and class discussions, students have practised identifying simple problems, sharing ideas and making thoughtful choices. These experiences help build confidence, independence and cooperation.

Year 1/2 – Problem Solving

Year 1/2 students have expanded their problem-solving skills by exploring different approaches to everyday challenges. They have learned how to consider the feelings of others, generate a range of possible solutions and reflect on the outcomes of their decisions. This learning supports students to navigate social situations with increasing confidence and responsibility.

Year 3/4 – Stress Management

Students in Years 3 and 4 have been learning about stress management and understanding that stress is a natural response to situations that feel demanding or unfamiliar. Through a range of activities, students have explored how emotions can affect their bodies and behaviour, while developing practical techniques such as relaxation strategies, mindfulness and healthy coping habits to support their wellbeing.

Year 5/6 – Stress Management

Our Year 5/6 students have been examining how stress can influence decision-making, relationships and learning. They have investigated a variety of strategies for maintaining balance during busy or challenging times, including organisation, positive thinking, goal setting and seeking support when needed. These lessons encourage students to develop resilience and self-awareness as they prepare for future opportunities and transitions.

The RRRR program plays an important role in helping students develop the skills needed to build positive relationships, respond to challenges and contribute to a respectful school community. We congratulate all students on their engagement and growth throughout the term and look forward to continuing this learning in the months ahead.

Calm Youth Leadership Session for Year 4 Boys

On Thursday, we were grateful to welcome the team from Calm Youth to BPS to deliver an engaging and inspiring leadership session for our Year 4 boys. The session focused on what leadership looks like in everyday life, encouraging students to reflect on the qualities, behaviours, and responsibilities of effective leaders.

Calm Youth has been a valued partner of our school for the past five years, and we always look forward to their visits. Their ability to connect with students and deliver meaningful, practical messages continues to have a positive impact on our school community.

We would like to thank the facilitators who led the session: AJ Michailidis, Ish Thind, Jacob, Isaac, Connor, Massimo, and Yassir.

We look forward to welcoming the Calm Youth team back to BPS next Tuesday when they will be working with our Year 5/6 boys.
