Performing Arts 

  ROCKBAND -    Our new members have fit right into Rock band! They sound amazing already!        

  We have had so much fun in music learning about notes!           

We have had so much fun with "Passports Please" this term! Grade 1/2 students have entered the PA room getting their boarding pass scanned and taking a seat on our 'Fundoora Flight'! We have acted out eating different foods on the plane, watched 'in flight movies about different countries and traveled around the world singing & dancing and learning about different cultures! 

All classes learned about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance! We had so much fun!

Grades 3/4 have been learning about dance, exploring where we might find it in the community. We have loved learning the Nutbush, bus stop, chicken dance, line dancing and barn dancing! They also loved creating new dances themselves!

Grade 5 and 6 students have been learning about different dances from around the world. All classes from 3-6 have learnt about the Elements of Dance and how to recognise them and use them. 

ROCKBAND! 

Our performances at Reservoir HS with 10 high schools was outstanding! The only Primary school! Our little rock stars LOVED every moment! So did the parents!!;

  Wow! Just WOW! The professionalism of every aspect of last night's 'Best of British' Rock Band Performances at Reservoir HS was outstanding! The sound, lighting, staging and overall organization were brilliant! For our young students to be able to not only perform alongside these talented Secondary students, but to also sit and watch, completely mesmerised for almost 3 hours, was a testament to the dedication of music staff from 10 different schools! Our BPS kids ROCKED the place! We divided into 2 separate bands, and both were equally amazing and I couldn't be prouder!!! For many of our new members, this was their first ever performance in front of a huge audience! They were scared, they were anxious, they were nervous.... then they were BRAVE and SPECTACULAR! Thank you to the wonderful parents for your support, I know you all enjoyed every moment as much as the kids! .... I've been networking with more high schools.... Watch this space!!!🎸🤘           

In Prep we have been exploring Fairytales! We are wonderful actors!

Preps have been acting out Fairytales and even using music to make them more interesting! "Bear" loves listening to the questions the preps have!
