Message from Braham Morris

Assistant Principal

As we move through a busy and rewarding term, it is pleasing to reflect on the many achievements and learning opportunities that have taken place across our school community.

This term has been marked by strong engagement from students across all year levels. Classrooms have been vibrant spaces of learning, with students demonstrating increasing confidence and independence in their work. It has been particularly encouraging to see students embracing new challenges, supporting one another, and taking pride in their individual and collective achievements.

Across the school, a number of initiatives have contributed positively to student wellbeing and engagement. Programs such as our breakfast club continue to provide a calm and supportive start to the day, ensuring students are ready to learn. The inclusion of fresh fruit, vegetables, and other healthy options has been well received and supports both physical health and classroom focus. Lunchtime clubs have also been popular, providing an option of structured and supported environments for students to socialise during the long lunch break.

Attendance and engagement remain a key focus for us. We continue to work closely with families to support consistent attendance and to remove barriers where possible. Regular attendance is critical in ensuring students can fully access the opportunities available to them, and we appreciate the ongoing partnership with families in supporting this.

Over the past couple of weeks, there has been significant progress on the new building project. Delayed materials have now arrived, allowing construction to move forward, and the main structure is beginning to take shape. Over the next couple of months, we anticipate the building will reach the lock-up stage.

Preparations have also commenced for the upgrade of a new electrical kiosk (switchboard) at the front of the school. This upgrade will provide increased capacity and allow for easier access from outside the school perimeter.

In addition, we are pleased to share that the new horticulture shed is now complete and fully operational.

As we look ahead to the remainder of the year, we remain committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. Our focus will continue to be on improving student outcomes, supporting wellbeing, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

I want to take this opportunity to wish all students, staff and their families a happy Easter and a safe holiday break.
