As we reach the end of Term 2, it has been another exciting and productive term in the Science.

Throughout the semester, students have continued to engage in authentic learning experiences both in the classroom and through a variety of STEM opportunities.

Our partnership with KIOSC has once again provided outstanding learning experiences across multiple year levels.

Year 7 students explored coding and robotics through the Emergency Tech program, Year 8 students combined engineering, CAD design and coding in the Retro TECH Arcade program, while our Year 9 and 10 Hydrogen Grand Prix teams have continued preparing for this year's competition.

Our VCE Biology students also benefited from specialist masterclasses that strengthened their understanding of biotechnology, DNA manipulation and photosynthesis through hands-on laboratory experiences.

Within classrooms, students have completed a range of practical investigations that have allowed them to develop their scientific inquiry skills.

Across all year levels there has been a strong emphasis on students asking questions and being curious about their world, analysing evidence, designing fair investigations and communicating scientific findings. It has been pleasing to see students growing in confidence as they apply these skills to real-world problems.

Next semester promises to be just as exciting. Students will continue participating in STEM enrichment activities, practical investigations and collaborative learning experiences that connect classroom science with future careers and emerging technologies.

We also look forward to supporting our senior VCE students as they prepare for their final assessments later this year. We would like to thank our students for their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the semester.
