Student Services

Wellbeing Updates
This term, we have developed more Mental Health Literacy lessons for our Learning Mentor classes.
Including a series of wellbeing lessons designed to strengthen students' mental health literacy, develop resilience, and build practical skills to support positive wellbeing.
As part of this learning, we were fortunate to welcome the Butterfly Foundation to work with our students. The Butterfly Foundation delivered engaging presentations to our Year 7 and 8 students, focusing on body image, social media influences, and strategies for maintaining positive wellbeing.
Our Year 9 and 10 students participated in sessions exploring body image ideals, self-esteem, and developing a positive sense of self.
The Butterfly Foundation is Australia's national charity for people impacted by eating disorders and body image concerns. Their vision is for all Australians to live free from eating disorders and negative body image.
Through education, prevention, early intervention, and support services, they work to promote positive body image and mental wellbeing across the community.
Looking Ahead to Term 3
We are excited to continue supporting student wellbeing next term through two evidence-based programs:
The Man Cave (Year 8 Boys) The Man Cave delivers immersive workshops that encourage students to explore healthy masculinity, emotional wellbeing, self-awareness, and positive relationships. These engaging experiences support young people to develop confidence, resilience, and stronger connections with those around them.
Flourish Journey (Year 8 Girls)
Flourish Journey provides workshops designed to support teenage girls in developing self-confidence, strengthening their sense of identity, and building meaningful relationships.
Through safe and supportive learning experiences, students are encouraged to recognise their strengths, find their voice, and develop the skills needed to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
We look forward to welcoming both organisations and continuing to provide opportunities that support the wellbeing and personal growth of our students.
