Lamont Book Fair & Book week!

Lamont Book Fair - Commencing TODAY!

The Lamont Book Fair has arrived! From today, until next Thursday 15th August, families will have the opportunity to purchase books from the Book Fair in the library.  Alternatively, orders can be placed online during this time at https://payments.lamontauthors.com.au.  

Families will be able to attend the Book Fair to view the selection of books and make purchases from 8.35 - 8:50am & 3.15 - 3.30pm each day. Students must be supervised by a parent or guardian during these times. Purchases can be made by EFTPOS only at the Book Fair. No cash will be accepted. 

Students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during their library time over the next week to view the selection of books available.

Book Week Dress Up Parade and Open Morning - Monday 19th August. 

We will launch our 2024 Book Week celebrations on Monday 19th August with a dress up day and parade. This will be followed by a classroom reading activity in which students will be encouraged to share their favourite book.

 We encourage all students to dress up as their favourite book character on the day.

 The theme for Book Week in 2024 is ‘Reading is Magic’. Parents and carers are invited to join us during this time. 

Running Order for Monday 19th August

• 9:00-10:00am:  All students attend the Book Week Parade on the basketball courts (should there be inclement weather, we will relocate to the gym).
• 10:00- 10.40am:  Parents can visit their child’s classroom to read a book together and undertake an activity. 

We look forward seeing all students involved in our dress up day and welcoming our parent community into the school to join the celebrations!
