Hai Semua! (Hi Everyone)!
Once again St Mary’s College has done a super job in the Education Perfect International Languages Championships - 1st in Australia for Indonesian language (for schools with 51-100 participants) and 10th overall out of 347 schools!!! St Mary's is punching above its weight again!
Congratulations to all our Year 9 and 10 participants and especially to Wyatt N (Gold certificate), Olivia W (Silver certificate), Maya M and Olivia H (Bronze certificates), Ruth R, Lachlan A and Evie T (Credit certificates). Wyatt answered over 8,000 questions which put him in the top 2% of competitors from around the world!

Yr 8 Visit to an Indonesian Restaurant
Our Year 8 classes also had an authentic Indonesian experience eating at Indonesian an Indonesian restaurant in Melbourne CBD after their informative and fun walking tour for the Runner novel.
8A ate at Ayam Penyet Ria and 8B and 8C ate at Enak by Nelayan. We sampled nasi goreng, ayam penyet, rendang, satay and other yummy dishes. Enak sekali ya!
Some students even ventured to trying some unusual drinks such as Teh Kotak and Es Dino Milo! Overall a fun day out and lots of hands-on learning. Terima kasih kelas 8!
