Year 10 Assumption College Careers Expo
Our Year 10 students visited Assumption College for their Careers Expo last Friday. The event featured 40 diverse exhibitors, ranging from local employers like Nestlé and the Mitchell Shire Council to various universities, TAFEs, and private colleges. Attending these expos is incredibly beneficial, as it provides students with direct industry exposure and inspires them to explore future career pathways.
A Day at Melbourne

We invite Year 9 and 10 students to step onto campus and experience what it’s really like to study at university. Join interactive workshops, hear from students who were once in your position, and explore different study areas and pathways into higher education.
Parents are also invited to attend dedicated sessions designed to help you support your teen in preparation for VCE. Learn more about course options, speak with faculty staff to inform subject selection, and gain insight into the student experience at the University of Melbourne.

Experience a taste of life as a uni student exploring the campus, discover new areas of study and find out more about what could be in store for you at Melbourne.
Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to take part in two workshops, hear from a panel of current student, speak to staff one-on-one about your study interests and discover our broad range of student clubs and societies.
Parents please note: This event is for students only. Parents are welcome at the course expo from 1.30pm.
Discovery Day
Join the Discovery Day and explore state-of-the-art facilities, meet expert academics and industry trainers, and learn more about the diverse range of courses – in the specialist areas of Foods, Tourism, Hospitality, and Events.

Experience La Trobe Event
Experience La Trobe is back these June-July school holidays! This is a chance to visit and explore the Bundoora Campus, get hands-on with their study areas and become familiar with Uni life by taking part in fun and dynamic workshops led by lecturers.
Students will have the option to choose a workshop relevant to their area of interest. Details of these workshops can be found on the registration page.

Tech & Trades Day
Explore next-level workshops at RMIT's Tech and Trades Experience Day in the July school holidays. Walk in the shoes of a student for a day and experience what it's like to learn an IT, tech, or trade course.
Experience RMIT first-hand with practical tasters from its tech and trades courses. On the day, students will enjoy:
- In-person workshops led by RMIT teachers, using the same tools and facilities our students train with
- Opportunities to chat with teachers and current students and ask questions about studying at RMIT
- Catered lunch, with options to suit all dietary requirements
- Fun prizes and giveaways along the way

Free Interior Design and Decoration Short Course
Torrens University is offering a free 6-week short course providing an introduction to the principles of interior design and decoration and the fundamentals of interior design.
Across six modules, students will explore colour, lighting, materials, styling, and even how to prepare and present a project to clients. Each module comes with resources and activities to assist students in putting their learning into practice.
