Wargomerrin - Year 7

R U OK? Day

Last week, our school marked R U Ok? Day, a National Day of Action dedicated to reminding us all that a simple, meaningful conversation can change a life. While the official day is held in September, our focus is on ensuring that R U OK? is any day in our school community. 

Year 7 were lucky enough to create our own R U OK? wall displayed in the Year 7 Hub. A roaming photo booth travelled around the college and students got to take some happy snaps with their peers, dress up and leave kind messages for others. 

Gippsland Athletics

Our Year 7 students returned from Gippsland Athletics full of excitement after a fantastic day competing across a range of track and field events. It was wonderful to see them embrace the opportunity, demonstrating determination, enthusiasm and great sportsmanship throughout the day.

A special congratulations to Hugh and Lenny, who have placed 1st in their events meaning they will now represent our College at the State Level.  We wish them both the very best as they take on this exciting next challenge — we’ll be cheering them on!

Australian History Competition! 

Congratulations to all students who participated in the Australian History Competition.

It was wonderful to see our students demonstrate their knowledge, curiosity and enthusiasm for Australian history.

A special congratulations to Bodhi V who was recognised with a Merit Award for his outstanding achievement. This is a fantastic accomplishment and a reflection of hard work and dedication.

We are incredibly proud of the effort and commitment shown by all participants.

Well done to everyone involved! 

Last Day of Term Maths Challenges! 

7K have been busy tackling some tricky end of term maths challenges! They have been thinking creatively, sharing ideas and putting their problem-solving skills to good use. What a great way to finish the term!

As we come to the end of a wonderful term, we would like to congratulate our Year 7 students on all they have achieved. It has been fantastic to see them embrace new opportunities, build friendships and grow in confidence throughout the term.

We hope our Year 7 students enjoy a well-deserved holiday break, taking the time to relax, recharge and spend time with family and friends.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back next term for more learning, new experiences and exciting opportunities heading into Year 8!
