Visual Art

The Art room has begun Term 2 as if we had never left! All the classes have been buzzing with enthusiasm and creativity. The focus on the beginning of term has been reviewing colour and the role warm and cool colours can play in our artworks. Students also continued with our work on flowers from the end of Term 1. These creations have added a bright floral display to our Art room which you can see below.

Since then, students have been working on a surprise for the 10th of May which you should all see coming home shortly. 

Looking ahead the Prep – 2’s will be exploring shape and colour inspired by ‘Elma the Elephant’ and the 3-6’s will be following a project through Art Education Victoria called ‘Bridges Between Us’ which will lead students to create artworks that explore meaningful relationships and connections. Students will look at, explore and take inspiration from a range of artworks before implementing their learnings into their own piece.  

It has been so exciting having everyone back, making and creating in the Art Room.
