Principal's Report

Welcome to term 2 , its been a super busy few weeks. We have all enjoyed the glorious autumn weather however now we are headed into the colder months I would like to remind everyone to make sure students are dressed appropriately for the cold and especially ready for playing outside and PE sessions. Its time for a warm coat, school beanie and winter uniform. We are constantly picking up unnamed clothing which is put into the lost property and often students struggle to find their belongings as they are not named. If you are after extra school jumpers etc dont forget to take a look in the tubs at the office and for a gold coin you can restock some uniform items.
Well done to our year 6 leaders, Sophie, Rowan, Remi and Harvey for representing our school at the recent ANZAC day local service. A special mention to Willow who also had a role to play, along with Leroy Ristevski, supporting John McCosker (OAM - RSL member) whilst he read the Ode of Remembrance. So many families were in attendance and so many of our students were in our uniform which showed such pride in our school and respect for the event. I would also like to acknowledge the LPS Scouts/Guides who were in attendance who stood to attention so proudly right throughout the service.
We are very happy to announce the appointment of a new STEM teacher. Cayley Blair will be joining us at LPS from week 4. Cayley is an experienced teacher and well known to our students. Welcome Cayley😊.
