The Toogoolawah State High School Cattle Club proudly represented our school at this year’s Esk Show, and while the ribbons in the cattle ring were few, the true success of the event was written in the confidence, skill and teamwork displayed by our students.
Our dedicated young handlers put in a strong showing across several categories, demonstrating their hard-earned knowledge and passion for the cattle industry. The highlight of the day came in the judging competitions, where our students impressed with their ability to assess both stud and prime cattle. Their keen eye and thoughtful evaluations were recognised by judges and onlookers alike, showing that the future of the industry is in capable hands.
In the parading ring, Toogoolawah SHS students also stood out. Their professional presentation, calm handling and polished technique reflected the many hours of preparation and commitment they’ve invested throughout the season.
While the cattle themselves may not have brought home a trophy cabinet of ribbons, our students were the real winners of the day. Their behaviour, sportsmanship and representation of the School was second to none, making the Toogoolawah SHS community incredibly proud.
Congratulations to all members of the Cattle Club and thank you to the staff and supporters who made this opportunity possible.
