Dear TSHS Families,
It’s Week 6, and as we pass the midpoint of Term 2, Toogoolawah SHS students continue to represent themselves, and their school, with pride, purpose and positivity. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the stage, in the cattle ring or beyond our postcode, they are making the most of every opportunity.
Here’s just a glimpse of the energy and excellence we’ve seen over the past fortnight:
Harvard MUN – Sydney Bound
Seven Level 1 students are tackling global issues on a national stage at the Harvard Model United Nations Conference. Their courage, insight and leadership are shining through in committees focused on human rights, health, peacekeeping and international security.
Level 2 Rewards Trip – Toowoomba
Our Level 2 students enjoyed a well-deserved shopping trip, recognising their consistent effort and behaviour. Term 3 might just include a Brisbane adventure, stay tuned!
A Big Week in Music
From Chamber Ensemble to Battle of the Bands, and the upcoming Western Tour with Lockyer and Laidley SHS, our music students have been rehearsing hard and performing even harder. Their dedication and teamwork are music to our ears.
Cattle Club at Esk Show
While ribbons were few, our handlers’ professionalism, sportsmanship and skills were on full display. A huge congratulations to all involved, you truly made our school proud.
Year 10 Science in Action
It’s been all systems go in the lab as students explored reactivity through hands-on experiments and molecular modelling. Engaged, curious and a little bit messy, just how great science should be!
Hospitality in the Spotlight
Our coffee cart continues to be a student-run success, with budding baristas delivering quality service and confidence. They’ve also stepped up at community events like Open Night, ANZAC Day and the Esk Show. Well done!
Catering for Community
Home Economics students brought creativity to life with beautifully decorated cakes at the Esk Show. With the Toogoolawah Show on the horizon, there’s more sweet success ahead.
SET Plan Conversations Continue
Year 10s are in the thick of important planning conversations, an essential step as they shape their senior schooling journey and career aspirations.
Leadership and Resilience
QParents Challenge – Year 7 vs Year 8
It’s a tight race to 100% registration, and a frozen Zooper Dooper reward awaits the winners!
Important Notices
As we power into the second half of the term, let’s hold on to our shared commitment to growth, gratitude and getting things done. Don’t forget to be awesome, especially when it counts the most.
