Secondary Wellbeing

Building Connections, Confidence and Success

Term 2 has been a busy and rewarding time across the Secondary School, with students engaging in a range of experiences designed to support their wellbeing, personal growth and sense of belonging.

Our Year 7 students recently returned from their camp at The Summit in Trafalgar East. The camp provided a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, develop resilience and strengthen friendships through a variety of adventure-based activities. Whether tackling the Giant Swing, Flying Fox or team-building challenges, students demonstrated courage, perseverance and a positive attitude throughout the week.

Looking ahead, our Year 9 students are eagerly preparing for their Cairns Camp in Week 10. This exciting experience will provide opportunities for students to build resilience, strengthen peer relationships and create lasting memories while exploring one of Australia’s most unique natural environments. We wish them all the best as they prepare for this memorable adventure.

Across all year levels, students are also preparing for the upcoming Secondary Semester Examinations. Developing effective study habits, organisation skills and healthy routines are important aspects of student wellbeing and academic success. To support families during this period, we recently held a Parent Information Evening focused on helping parents support their children through exam preparation. We thank all families who attended and engaged in these important conversations.

As we move towards the end of the semester, we encourage students to maintain balanced routines, seek support when needed and celebrate their progress along the way. Our wellbeing initiatives continue to promote positive relationships, gratitude, mindfulness and resilience, ensuring that every student feels supported both academically and emotionally.

We thank our families for their ongoing partnership and look forward to celebrating the many achievements and experiences that continue to shape our Secondary School community.
