From the Principal

As we move steadily into the assessment period for our Years 7–12 students, I would like totake a moment to reflect on the importance of preparation, perseverance, and perspectiveduring this important time in the academic year.
Examinations can often bring a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. At our college, we encourage students to approach this season not only with diligence in their studies, but also with a sense of calm and trust in the gifts God has given them.
In the Lutheran tradition, we are reminded that each individual is uniquely created and called to use their talents faithfully. Preparation, therefore, is not simply about achieving results, but about stewardship, making the most of the abilities entrusted to us. Through consistent study habits, seeking help when needed, and supporting one another, students can approach their exams with confidence and integrity.
We also encourage families to play an important role during this time by fostering supportive routines at home, ensuring students have space to focus, time to rest, and encouragement when it matters most. As a community, we walk alongside our young people as they grow, not just academically, but in resilience and character.
Recently, we had the privilege of celebrating a significant milestone: our 20-year anniversary. It was a truly special occasion, made even more meaningful by the presence of past Principal, Mr Thomas Brennen and Lakeside College Board members who have helped shape our college into what it is today.
The day was filled with gratitude, shared memories, and a deep sense of belonging. It was a powerful reminder of the strength of our community and the enduring vision upon which our college was founded. Seeing generations come together highlighted the faith, dedication, and partnership that continueto guide us forward.
In addition, our Mother’s Day Breakfast was a wonderful celebration of community and connection. It was heart warming to see so many families gather to share breakfast and honour the important women in our students’ lives.
Events like this reflect the spirit of care and togetherness that define our college. We are grateful for the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate those who play such a significant role in nurturing our students each day.
As we look ahead, may we continue to support one another with kindness and encouragement. We pray that our students approach their exams with focus and confidence, trusting that their efforts, guided by faith and perseverance, will bear fruit.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”— Proverbs 16:3
Blessings,
Mr. Robert Tassoni
