Bell Shakespear comes to JFC

On Tuesday July 16, Bell Shakespeare’s travelling group “The Players” came to JFC and performed the play “Shakespeare is Dead” to an enthusiastic audience of Year 10 and 11 students. The performance was fantastic and the students and staff enjoyed the experience immensely. We found out that we have a lot of acting talent at our school with Year 10 students – Khalid Aden-Hassan, Kareem Saraya and Naim Alam – doing a great job improvising three

roles in scenes from two Shakespeare plays. Not to mention our own Mr Rokich doing a star turn (and fall) as Queen Gertrude in the death scene from Hamlet. Bravo!
