Grade 1 News

What a big term of learning we have had in Grade 1! 

In Religion, students explored the unit Grief and Loss. As part of this learning, students created a beautiful “Memory Tree” where they shared thoughtful and important memories of loved ones, pets and special toys they have lost.

In Literacy, students have continued their amazing word work and have been exploring how to break words apart to help with reading and spelling. Students also enjoyed the story Migaloo the White Whale, where they learnt about real-life whale migrations around the world and wrote interesting facts about Migaloo.

In Maths, students have been exploring the concept of Time and Events and developing their understanding of sequencing daily activities and reading different representations of time.
