Level 1

Welcome Back!

Level One has had a positive start into the new term. We've shared our exciting memories from the holidays and jumped right back in to a range of new learning topics!

Literacy

In Reading, Level One has been learning about the features of nonfiction texts. We have begun identifying subheadings to find key information about a range of animals. In Writing, we have started to use our key information from our nonfiction texts to write parts of an information report. Then we have been exploring how to revise our writing by improving our word choice.

Numeracy

In Maths, Level One have been enjoying finding all the ways to show their thinking when grouping and sharing numbers. They have been using worded problems to find all the possible different answers.

Inquiry

In Inquiry, we have been having so much fun combining Makers Empire with hands on activities to explore the features of animal enclosures and learning to distinguish between what an animal needs in its environment and what they might want in their environment to be happier and healthier.
