Level 4

Welcome back!
We are looking forward to another amazing term with our Year 4 students!
Reading
Students have started their Book Club books and are settling into their specific Book Club roles. They are learning how each role helps them think more deeply about what they read, share their ideas with others, and work together in meaningful discussions. It's been wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they begin this exciting part of our reading program!
Writing
Our narrative writing has been exploding with creative ideas as students continue to use the Writing Traits to strengthen their stories. They have been focusing on adding interesting details, making thoughtful word choices, and organising their writing to engage their readers.
Maths
Students have been learning to convert units of measurement, including length, mass and capacity. They have been using a combination of hands-on activities and digital tools to practise and apply their skills in a measurement project.
Inquiry
We have started our Geography unit by exploring Australia's neighbours. Students are learning where these countries are located and beginning to discover what makes each one unique. Over the coming weeks, we'll be comparing Australia with its neighbouring countries, exploring their cultures, environments and landmarks, and learning about the many ways Australia is connected to them. We're looking forward to seeing the students' curiosity grow as they learn more about the countries in our region!
