Congratulations to all students who qualified for the Sydney South West Cross Country Championships. After several weeks of wet weather disruptions, it was fantastic to finally complete the event on a modified course.

SSW Central Venue Day – Touch Football
The Open Girls Touch Football team enjoyed a strong campaign, progressing through to the semi-finals before suffering a narrow loss in a hard-fought contest. Despite the disappointment of falling just short of a grand final appearance, the team demonstrated outstanding determination, throughout the competition. As one of the younger squads in the field, the girls gained valuable experience against quality opposition and continued to improve with every match. Their semi-final performance highlighted the group's potential, and with many players eligible to return next year, the future looks exceptionally bright for this talented and promising team.
Primary School Gala Day Volunteers – Thankyou
A sincere thank you to over forty Camden High School students who generously gave their time to umpire and referee at the Razorback and Macarthur Primary School Gala Days this term.
Your professionalism, leadership, and enthusiasm across Soccer, Hockey, Rugby League, and Netball helped ensure the events were enjoyable, fair, and successful for all participants. Your contribution strengthens the valued connection between our schools and demonstrates the importance of maintaining strong community links through service, support, and positive role modelling.
NSWCHS boys football
In week 6 Sam T and Isaac H took part in the NSWCHS boys football tournament. As part of the Sydney South West boys team, they played against Riverina in their first game. This game finished as a 3-1 win. Later in the day and low on numbers the boys played Western region. The team looked sleepy and went down 3-0 at half time. With a team talk that will go down in the record books, led by their coach (Mr Garland), the team bounced back and brought the game back to 3-2. With 2 minutes to go Sam hit a curling shot into the top bins from outside the area to level the game 3-3.
Onto day 2 and the first game was against Hunter. Anything but a loss would allow SSW to progress to the semi finals. A 0-0 draw and then a follow up 8-1 win against North West put SSW on a semi final course with Sydney East.
Day 3 was a tough encounter with Sydney East. SSW went down 2-0 after 25 minutes but battled hard and score a late goal to put everyone edge for the last few minutes. Unfortunately, that's where SSW tournament ended.
With a combined group points total of 8 points SSW walked away with a bronze medal.
Congratulations to Sam and Isaac as well as Mr Garland on his first tournament as SSW boys football coach!
