Story Telling Competition

This term's Storytelling Competition once again showcased the incredible creativity and talent of our students. This year's competition featured two categories: Writers and Illustrators.

Our writers were challenged to create a 500–1000 word story in a genre of their choice, with one important twist - their story had to include a connection to time. From mysterious warnings from the future and races against the clock, to time standing still and encounters with future selves, students embraced the challenge and produced some truly remarkable work.

For our illustrators, the challenge was to bring an existing story to life through visual storytelling. Students interpreted the narrative, developed characters and captured key moments through their artwork, demonstrating both creativity and technical skill.

The standard of entries this year was exceptionally high, making the judging process incredibly difficult. Thank you to Mrs Woods, Mrs White and Ms Harris for judging the writing category and Ms Blandino, Ms Baker and Mrs Bui for judging the illustrator category. They were blown away by the originality, effort and imagination on display across both categories. There are certainly a few names among this year's finalists that we may well see on the covers of future books!
