Soft plastic recycling

Great news; we now have bins for soft plastic recycling around the school! You now have to be more careful with your rubbish by putting it in the rightbin. The difference between soft and normal plastic is that soft plastic is way softer and can be easily scrunched into a ball with one hand. There will be one bin in the gallery for the 3/4’s, one in the hallway near the1/2 classrooms for Foundation to grade 2, and one in front of 5PT’s classroom for the 5/6’s. 

Members of the KGT  GAP team will visit your grades soon, to provide more information. We look forward to your cooperation in separating our rubbish further to support our environment and planet!

KGT Schoolgrounds Rubbish Audit

The KGT - GAP Team did a rubbish audit in outdoor areas 1,2,3 and 4, and found lots of rubbish, in big clumps, particulary in areas where people gather during recess and lunch in area 4 and 1. We found that most of the rubbish consisted of plastic wrappers, packets and bags bought at the canteen or brought from home.

Please make sure to put your wrappers and packaging in the bins!!
