Regional Athletics

Boroondara Park had 2 competitors reach this level of competition; Athea Lin in triple jump and Dora Chen in shot put. Getting to this stage is an achievement in itself and they manged to finish in 7th place and 14th respectively - which is a great effort considering that they do not do athletics outside of school. Well done girls!

PE Focus

Our Foundation cohort have begun their striking unit, which works on their ability to hit a ball with equipment or their body. This week, students started off with balloon 'keepy uppy', a great introductory starting point allowing students time to focus on their timing and hand eye coordination. As the term continues, students will get more exposure to the side striking technique that is useful in a range of sports, such as softball, tennis and hockey.
