Year 12 Graduation Dinner

Celebrating the Class of 2025

 

On 21 November  2025, the Wangaratta High School community gathered at the Wangaratta Turf Club to celebrate the Class of 2025. In perfect weather, students, families and staff enjoyed outdoor refreshments and photos before moving inside for a two-course dinner and formal speeches.

 

Senior Years Leading Teacher Meg Whatley MC’d the evening, with Executive PrincipalDave Armstrong and Year 12 Level Leader Lesley Forman reflecting on the cohort’s journey from starting Year 7 during COVID to becoming confident young adults.

 

We were also proud to welcome Georgina Ridley (Class of 2013) as our first-ever alumni guest speaker. Now an Assistant Director in the Office for Women, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Georgina shared her inspiring path from WHS and fondly recalled the teachers and subjects that helped shape her confidence.

 

Once the speeches wrapped up, it was time to hit the dance floor. Head of Music, Scott Solimo, and The Scott & Amanda Band brought the atmosphere to life, with everyone enjoying the music, especially Assistant Principal Mr John Paola, who jumped in for a few songs.

 

We extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to making this night such a success, with particular appreciation to our Hands on Learning students for helping createthe photo backdrop, and Marc Bongers(alumni) for generously volunteering his time to photograph the event.

 

It was a memorable night honouring a resilient and remarkable graduating class. Congratulations to the Class of 2025
