Library Report

Ms Georgia Coutts

2025 has been a standout year for reading at Greensborough College, with thousands of books borrowed and a strong commitment to literacy across the school. We’ve loved seeing our Year 7 students quickly become some of our most enthusiastic library users.

The library space itself has grown this year, with new laptop tables supporting independent study and a gaming unit providing popular lunchtime activities. These upgrades have helped make the library a welcoming hub for learning, connection, and relaxation.

Responding to student voice, we added 164 new titles to our collection, including over 50 graphic novels, which continue to be our most in-demand items. As library use has increased, new guidelines have been introduced to ensure the space remains calm and inclusive for all.

A major highlight was our reimagined Book Week scavenger hunt, which brought the whole school together in a fun and creative way. We’re already excited for what 2026 will bring!
