Principal's Message

Dear Families,

As we settle into Term 3, it has been wonderful to see such a positive start to the term. The beautiful winter sunshine has certainly helped.  

This term, students across the school will be engaging in an exciting Science inquiry focused on Natural Systems and environments. They will have the opportunity to design and create during the unit. See our learning and teaching page for more details.  

There are also many exciting learning opportunities and events planned for this term. 

We also look forward to a number of important community events this term, including:

• Grandparent Morning 
• Principal for the day fundraiser 
• 100 Days of Foundation 
• Confirmation
• National Week against Bullying 
• Book Week and Book Week Parade 
• Father’s Day Celebrations

We are excited for the term ahead and look forward to working together to make Term 3 another successful and rewarding learning journey for all students.

Grandparents Morning 

Just a friendly reminder that our Grandparents and Special Older Person Day will be celebrated this Friday, 24 July.

The morning will begin with a special Mass at 9:15 am. Once students have been dropped off at their classrooms, grandparents and special guests are invited to make their way to the church and take a seat. Students will attend Mass with their classes.

Following Mass, grandparents and special guests are warmly invited to visit their grandchild’s classroom to participate in a shared activity together. As classroom space is limited, we kindly ask that parents do not attend the classroom activities unless a grandparent or special guest requires assistance from a carer.

Our celebration will conclude with a morning tea for grandparents and special guests in the hall, generously organised by our Parents and Friends Association.

We look forward to welcoming our grandparents and other special older people to this morning of celebration, connection, and community.

We look forward to sharing this joyful occasion with our school community.

Census Day- Friday, August 7th

Each year, all non-government schools are required to participate in Census Day, which collects information about student enrolments to help determine government funding. This data is provided to the Australian Government and is used for statistical and reporting purposes only. This census collection also includes the NCCD – National Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability

What is the NCCD?

The NCCD collects information about students with a disability who receive extra support at school. This support helps students access and participate in learning just like their classmates.Teachers make decisions about the support needed by working with parents, carers, and the student. Every year, schools are required to report this information to the Australian Government.

Why is the NCCD important?

The NCCD helps schools and governments better understand how to support students with disabilities. It also helps with planning and funding, ensuring students get the help they need.

How is the information used?

• To show how schools support students with disabilities.
• To help improve education policies and planning.
• To make sure schools meet their legal responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act.
• Information sent to the government does not include student names or personal details.
