Hi families,
Smile Squad six-month fluoride varnish visit
The Monash Health Smile Squad team will be visiting our school again to provide six-monthly fluoride varnish applications for students who already have consent recorded on their Smile Squad consent form. (Please note this visit is not for new cases).
Fluoride varnish helps strengthen teeth and reduce the risk of tooth decay.
Consent for this fluoride varnish application was provided when your child’s initial Smile Squad consent form was returned. If you no longer want your child to receive fluoride varnish, you must contact Monash Health Smile Squad directly to withdraw consent.
Please note: this visit is for fluoride varnish only and is not a comprehensive dental check-up. If you have concerns about your child’s oral health, please contact Monash Health Dental Services on 1300 342 273.

I am really disappointed to have to write this, but I’m at a bit of a loss as to what more I can do.
Could parents/carers please have a discussion with your daughters/granddaughters/nieces about feminine hygiene products and using them appropriately, rather than using them to decorate the toilets. Unfortunately, I have been regularly cleaning these products off the walls, floors, sinks and even removing them from toilets.
I completely understand the curiosity around these products, however this behaviour is extremely wasteful and creates significant hygiene concerns. We have sanitary product dispensers available in the student toilets for those who need them, and I also keep supplies available in sick bay.
As the school operates on a septic system, these products must not be flushed down the toilets. Sanitary bins are provided in each toilet block for disposal.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
