Middle School

Mr Michael Busscher, Head of Middle School

Subject Selections

In Term 3, the Middle School's focus shifts from the many activities of Terms 1 and 2 to looking into the future and making considered choices around subject selections for 2026 and beyond. This process will come to an end this week for the Middle School so its imperative that everyone has completed this task including parent sign offs via the automated email sent to you. The task of creating, staffing, rooming and allocating subjects can then take place ahead of our Head Start program in the last two weeks of Term 4.

Year 10 Tomorrow Man

The Year 10’s did get to partake in an additional activity this week, the final instalment of the Tomorrow Man series. In this session boys looked at Man and the Mask. The Tomorrow Man program aims to explore the impact of rigid masculine gender stereotypes and expectations and their impact on men across the country. The workshop sessions will invite our young men to share their views on what it means to be a man in 2025.

These workshops provide a space to ask questions about what's working for the students and what's holding them back. Throughout the two-hour workshops, our young men will learn about various tools and skills to improve their emotional literacy. As a result of the workshop conversations, new connections are being made between one another as well as those they care about long after the workshop has finished.
