Student Voice
Mansha Rajasekhar | Assistant Principal - Student Leadership
Our student leaders have once again demonstrated the pride, confidence, and community spirit that make Sandringham College such a special place to learn and grow. Across both campuses, our captains and aspiring leaders have been active, articulate, and inspiring representatives of their peers.
At the Bluff Road Campus, our Bluff Captains recently represented the College with great pride at the Year 7 Parent Information Night. They opened the evening with a thoughtful Acknowledgement of Country and spoke with warmth and confidence about their own experiences transitioning into high school. Their reflections on the strong sense of support and belonging at Sandringham College resonated deeply with families and staff.
The Bluff Captains also presented at a recent School Council meeting, sharing the results of a student survey they conducted across the campus. Through this initiative, they amplified the voices of their peers—highlighting what students love about the Bluff campus and identifying areas for future improvement. Their professionalism and commitment to student voice were truly impressive.
At the Holloway Road Campus, the Holloway Captains have been equally busy leading and inspiring their peers. They have played a key role in coordinating the development of the Year 12 Handbook, guiding other student leaders and contributors to ensure the publication is both informative and reflective of the senior student experience.
Our Holloway Captains also spoke beautifully at both the College-wide Assembly and the Year 12 Graduation at Robert Blackwood Hall. Their heartfelt and inspiring speeches celebrated the strength, unity, and resilience of the graduating class, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

Applications for Year 12 College Captains have now closed, and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in the coming weeks. We are excited to continue this process and meet the next group of students ready to lead our College with pride and purpose.
Applications for all other student leadership positions remain open, and we encourage students across both campuses to get involved. Leadership is a wonderful opportunity to develop confidence, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility — key qualities that define Sandringham students.
